The National Market News Association is primarily an organization of Federal and State market reporters, market news and information specialist and analysts. The organization's objective is to improve marketing information in line with changes in the marketing system and promoting cooperation and exchange of new and helpful ideas.
The Association was organized in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1957 as the Eastern Area Market News Association with Curtis Tarleton as President. In 1969 at the annual workshop in New York City, New York, the name was changed to the National Market News Association.
