Answer:
The National Organic Program only conducts site evaluations and on-site review audits of certifying agents. Auditors conducting the reviews will follow the procedures specified in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 10011 guidelines, "Guidelines for Auditing Quality Systems." Accredited certifying agents will be reviewed based on their ability to comply with the national standards.
