AMS was also a founding member of the Market Information Organization of the Americas (MIOA), and continues partnering with foreign nations to enhance the exchange of market information throughout North, Central and South America.

Grade Standardization
Utilizing our experience as a service provider to the U.S. produce industry, AMS works in the international arena to enhance the world-wide marketability and availability of fresh and processed fruits, vegetables and nuts. Notable AMS efforts to enhance global trade include:

  • Developing quality standards that facilitate trade of fresh, processed and dried agricultural commodities;
  • Ensuring international quality standards reflect actual agricultural trading practices and are attainable;
  • Assisting foreign countries in developing grade standards;
  • Supporting domestic exporters of agricultural commodities; and
  • Assisting the U.S. produce industry in meeting international market requirements and remaining competitive in the international marketplace.
