USDA Re-opens Comment Period for Proposed Christmas Tree Promotion, Research, and Information Order

WASHINGTON, Feb.22, 2011 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture is re-opening the comment period for the proposed Christmas Tree Promotion, Research, and Information Order. The period was re-opened to allow additional time for comments after USDA received several letters from growers requesting an extension.

 
Notice of this extension was published in the Feb. 22, 2011, Federal Register. Comments must be received by March 9, 2011. Interested persons are invited to submit written comments to http://www.regulations.gov; or in writing to the Research and Promotion Branch, Fruit and Vegetable Programs, AMS, USDA, 1400 Independence Avenue, S.W., Stop 0244, Room 0632-S, Washington, D.C. 20250-0244 or by faxing: (202) 205-2800.

 
All comments should reference the docket number, date and page number of the Federal Register. Comments will be made available for public viewing at the above office during regular business hours or can be viewed at http://www.regulations.gov.
