National Organic Program (NOP) – Proposed Amendments to the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (Processing) will be published in the Federal Register on Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 with a shortened public comment period of 7 days in an effort to ensure the availability of petitioned products beyond the court-ordered deadline of June 9, 2007. These proposed materials were available for public review and comment at least 30 days prior to and during the public meeting of the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) held March 27-29, 2007 in Washington, DC. We are posting this proposed rule on our website prior to the publication date in the Federal Register to allow additional time to prepare comments for submission.
