Milling Yield |
An estimate of the quantity of whole kernels and total milled rice (whole and broken kernels combined) that are produced in the milling of rough rice to a well milled degree. 100 lbs. of rough rice will usually produce the following: 58 68 lbs. of head rice; 4 10 lbs. of second heads, screenings, and brewer's rice; 28 30 lbs. of hulls, bran, and polish; about 2 lbs. of waste. |
