USDA Extends Comment Period for Supplemental Notices of Proposed Rulemaking for the Hardwood Lumber and Hardwood Plywood Promotion Research and Information Order

WASHINGTON, June 30, 2015 -- The United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is extending a deadline by 60 days to allow members of the public to submit comments on the supplemental notices of proposed rulemaking for the Hardwood Lumber and Hardwood Plywood Promotion, Research and Information Order and referendum procedures.

 
The extension allows additional time for industry stakeholders and others to review the supplemental notices and provide feedback. Notice of this extension will be published in the July 1, 2015, Federal Register.

 
Comments must be received by Sept. 7, 2015 and may be submitted electronically at www.regulations.gov or mailed to the Promotion and Economics Division, FVP, AMS, USDA, Stop 0244, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW., Room 1406-S, Washington, DC 20250-0244.
