USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is now publishing the National Fruit and Vegetable Organic Summary. The new report provides an easy-to-use summary of the market data, including wholesale and shipping point prices and movement data. The National Fruit and Vegetable Organic Summary is updated every Tuesday. Utilize the Run a Custom Report wizard to quickly access any combination of data since 1998.

NOP has released the 2010 Cost Share Programs Report to Congress (PDF)

Accrediting Certifying Agents Approved to Issue TM-11 Export Certificates (PDF) has been updated to include QCS – Quality Certification Services, an accredited certifying agent. This approval allows QCS to issue TM-11 Export Certificates currently for the countries of Japan and Taiwan.

The National Organic Program (NOP) April 26 report is now posted in the National Organic Standards Board April 2010 meeting agenda. The draft NOP strategic plan as well as the NOP’s responses to the board on the November 2009 recommendations, standardized organic certificates, cosmetic, corn steep liquor, and nutrient vitamins and minerals are also available

The NOP has issued instruction on the use of green waste and green waste compost that is produced from approved feedstocks in organic production systems. Please view the complete statement of Document NOP 5016.

The USDA National Organic Program will be conducting Access to Pasture Training on April 26, 2010, at the Heidrick Ag History Center, 1962 Hays Lane Woodland, CA 95776.

Available now is a listing of previously certified organic operations whose certifications have been suspended or revoked since January 2010. A separate listing of operations whose organic certification has been reinstated is also available. Visit “Accreditation and Certification” page. These listings reflect data that accredited certifying agents (ACA) have submitted to the NOP since January 2010, and NOP will continue to update them each months as it receives information from ACAs.
