Soybean Board Nomination Information  
If you are interested in becoming a member of the United Soybean Board, you:

 
  • Must be a soybean producer who is engaged in the growing of soybeans in the United States who owns, or who shares the ownership and risk of loss of, such soybeans.

 
  • Must be nominated by a Qualified State Soybean Board and submit a completed application.

 
For the 2014 Board, there are vacancies for producer member positions in the following states or regions: Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. There are alternate vacancies in Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and both the Eastern and Western Regions. The Secretary of Agriculture selects appointees from soybean producers nominated by Qualified State Soybean Boards and members serve 3-year terms.

 
All eligible soybean producers are invited to seek nomination for a seat on the Board by the April 28, 2014, deadline.
