In addition to providing organic certification services to operations within their states, state certifying agents play a critical role in serving their state’s organic community. Like other state agencies, state certifying agents also provide rebates to certified operations through the Organic Certification Cost Share Programs and assist with the marketing of organic commodities. Organic activities on the state level are coordinated by the National Association of State Organic Programs.
